About The Position

Rendezvous Robotics is solving the fundamental bottleneck of rocket fairing size with electromagnetic self-assembling tiles: modular spacecraft components that rendezvous, dock, and latch to assemble bigger and more powerful spacecraft. This internship offers an opportunity to work on hardware, software, and systems engineering for the next generation of advanced spacecraft. The role is a full-time, 12-15 week position during Summer 2027, based in Golden, Colorado.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Coursework or project experience in power electronics or analog/digital circuit design
• Familiarity with PCB design tools (KiCad, Altium, or similar)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with gate drivers, DC-DC converters, or battery management systems
• Understanding of isolated sensing or isolated power architectures
• Exposure to embedded firmware for hardware bring-up
• Experience debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other bench equipment

Responsibilities

• Support design and review of power electronics, including battery management and protection circuits
• Work on PCB design for onboard electronics
• Help analyze cross-domain fault behavior and edge cases in the power system
• Support power distribution and bus architecture work across internal interfaces
• Assist with bring-up and debug of avionics hardware on the bench
