About The Position

Lanteris Space is seeking a Senior Avionics/Command and Data Handling (CDH) Subsystem Engineer to join its growing team. The role is based in San Jose, California, and may also be performed remotely within the United States. The engineer will develop avionics architectures for a range of mission types, including low Earth orbit constellation designs, and support the integration of onboard computer systems, onboard data storage, and the interfaces needed for components to communicate and function together. The position supports company programs and other CDH engineers. The ideal candidate has knowledge of existing avionics hardware and experience designing platforms to accommodate that hardware. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and at least five years of electrical system command and data handling architecture experience, or relevant electrical/avionics engineering experience in space applications or an adjacent technical industry. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required. The posted annual base salary ranges by location from $102,000 to $195,000, with a separate range of $113,000 to $188,000 for the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
