About The Position

EXP is hiring an Aviation Program Manager for its Coral Gables, Florida office. The role leads construction execution for assigned project packages, managing schedule, cost, quality, and risk across multiple construction phases. The manager coordinates with inspectors, design teams, airport operations, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve field issues and maintain airport operations. The position also provides leadership and oversight to on-site inspection and field staff.

Requirements

10+ years of progressive experience in construction management of large-scale aviation projects.
Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, phasing, QA/QC protocols, and public agency coordination.
Ability to manage multiple contractors in a highly regulated environment.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to secure and maintain required airport security credentials.

Nice To Haves

Airport construction experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for construction execution on assigned packages.
Manage schedule, cost, quality, and risk across multiple phases of construction.
Coordinate with inspectors, design teams, airport operations, and contractors to resolve field issues.
Lead construction progress meetings and interface with key stakeholders.
Review and approve contractor submittals, change orders, RFIs, and pay applications.
Track progress against milestones and assist with claims avoidance or mitigation.
Monitor and enforce contractor compliance with safety and security regulations.
Support phasing, logistics, and operational continuity planning to avoid disruption to airport operations.
Collaborate with the Program Controls team to maintain accurate cost forecasts and reports.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to on-site inspection and field staff.
