About The Position

OnPoint Tech Systems is hiring a proficient Installation Technician to install and support advanced technology systems in luxury homes and commercial environments throughout South Florida. The role involves working on residential and commercial projects alongside lead technicians, programmers, and electricians. The technician is expected to complete quality work with limited supervision, take pride in precise, reliable installation, and communicate professionally with clients. Programming experience is beneficial but not required. The position offers full-time, consistent work, manufacturer training, performance-based advancement, and a path to Level 3 Technician, Lead Integrator, or Automation Programmer. OnPoint is a licensed, insured, family-owned technology integration company serving South Florida since 2011.

Requirements

2–5 years of hands-on low-voltage, AV, security, or smart home installation experience.
Ability to complete quality installation work with limited supervision.
Understanding of signal flow, basic networking, and troubleshooting.
Care for clean wiring, tidy equipment racks, and accurate labeling.
Preparedness, punctuality, follow-through, and professional communication with teammates and clients.
Valid driver's license.
Successful background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

Programming or setup experience with Control4, Lutron, Savant, Crestron, RTI, or networking.

Responsibilities

Prewire and trim out residential and commercial projects.
Install and terminate AV, networking, security cameras, and access control systems.
Mount TVs, speakers, keypads, and equipment cleanly and correctly.
Build clean, organized, properly labeled equipment racks.
Test, troubleshoot, and verify systems before handoff.
Complete documentation, labeling, and project photos.
Work alongside lead technicians, programmers, and electricians.
