The technician installs and modifies technology systems, performs and tests cable terminations, prepares equipment racks, reads functional design and architectural drawings, builds and wires custom designs, and handles fiber-optic cable installation and testing. The role requires maintaining an organized shop and jobsite, company vehicles, tools, materials inventories, and personal licenses and qualifications, as well as keeping time and work records. The position involves regular work at construction sites, frequent driving to jobsites, and periodic or extended overtime to meet project deadlines.
