About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented AV Service Technician to join our team. This role is open to both junior and experienced candidates. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with clients in high-end residential and professional corporate environments, providing service, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for audio-visual systems while consistently meeting and exceeding company standards.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
  • Ability to lift and handle AV equipment as needed
  • Junior Candidates: Basic understanding of AV systems or related technical field
  • Junior Candidates: Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
  • Junior Candidates: Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced Candidates: Proven experience servicing AV systems in residential and/or corporate environments
  • Experienced Candidates: Strong troubleshooting skills across AV, control systems, and networking
  • Experienced Candidates: Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
  • Experienced Candidates: Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced Candidates: Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with control systems (e.g., Crestron, Control4, AMX)
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, routers, switches)
  • Industry certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair AV systems including audio, video, control, surveillance and networking components
  • Perform routine service calls, system maintenance, and upgrades
  • Provide on-site technical support in both residential and corporate settings
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, both verbally and in writing, to resolve issues and explain solutions
  • Maintain and exceed company standards for professionalism, performance, and client satisfaction
  • Actively pursue ongoing learning and skill development to increase personal effectiveness and overall value to clients and the company
  • Document service activities, issues, and resolutions accurately
  • Collaborate with installation and engineering teams when needed
