DataVox is seeking an experienced AV Service Technician to join our growing team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial AV installation, commissioning, or service experience
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting complex AV systems
  • Experience working in commercial construction environments
  • Experience with AMX and/or Crestron control systems
  • Strong understanding of: Commercial Audio Visual Systems, Video Conferencing Technologies, AV Control Systems, Audio DSP Platforms, Video Switching & Distribution, Projectors and Large Format Displays
  • Basic knowledge of: Networking fundamentals, TCP/IP networking, Routers and switches, IP-based AV technologies

Nice To Haves

  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) Certification
  • CTS-I or CTS-D Certification
  • Experience with Audio Architect, Q-SYS, Biamp, or similar DSP platforms
  • AutoCAD, AudioCAD, or VidCAD experience
  • Experience with enterprise conference room technologies
  • Has strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Works independently and takes ownership of issues
  • Communicates effectively with customers and team members
  • Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Is committed to delivering exceptional customer service

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair commercial audio visual systems
  • Troubleshoot complex AV, video conferencing, and control system issues
  • Perform service calls and preventative maintenance on installed AV systems
  • Configure and support AV control platforms such as Crestron and AMX
  • Install, configure, and calibrate audio and video equipment
  • Service projection systems, displays, DSPs, switchers, and presentation systems
  • Perform rack modifications and equipment upgrades
  • Identify system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
  • Document service activities and communicate findings with customers and internal teams
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing DataVox at client sites
  • Assist with commissioning and system optimization as needed
