The AV Project Manager is responsible for the scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction of audiovisual systems integration projects throughout their full lifecycle, from initiation through closing. The role oversees project management functions across assigned projects, budgets, and scopes, and serves as the accountable lead with direct control over project activities. The work centers on written and verbal communication with project stakeholders, coordinating teams and deliverables, and completing projects on time, within budget, and to the customer’s satisfaction. As the primary client interface, the Project Manager builds and maintains long-term client relationships and manages expectations, communications, and satisfaction. The role coordinates internal and external stakeholders, including account executives, directors, installation technicians, subcontractors, clients, engineering, CAD, and programming teams. Project Managers also monitor labor, equipment, and materials budgets; schedules; project financials and billings; quality; staffing; and risks. They facilitate design reviews, coordinate programming and system checkout, oversee punch-list completion, and arrange project training and turnover to clients, service, and sales teams. Projects involve varying system designs, site conditions, stakeholders, and expectations. Success requires balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction while managing change, decisions, and complex technical, political, and interpersonal challenges. The position includes frequent travel, mostly local driving to job sites, and regular exposure to construction-site conditions as well as office work.
