About The Position

The AV / IT Support Technician is responsible for supporting audiovisual systems, end-user devices, and core IT services across the organization. This hybrid role provides hands-on support for conference rooms, digital signage, sound systems, and event technology, while also handling help desk tickets, workstation setup, and basic networking tasks. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, technical aptitude, and experience troubleshooting both AV and IT systems.

Requirements

Associate degree in Information Technology, Media Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience.
One-three (1–3) years of experience in IT support, AV support, or a blended technical role.
Working knowledge of: Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications
Working knowledge of: Common AV tools (HDMI/DisplayPort, mixers, amps, switchers)
Working knowledge of: Conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex)
Working knowledge of: Basic networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, Wi-Fi)
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Ability to lift and install AV equipment (typically up to 40–50 lbs).
You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, or similar AV control systems.
Familiarity with Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms deployment.
CompTIA A+, Network+, CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), or similar certifications.
Experience supporting digital signage or streaming/recording platforms.
Basic understanding of cabling standards (Cat5e/Cat6, HDMI, audio cabling).

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and support AV systems including projectors, displays, sound systems, microphones, video conferencing equipment, and control panels.
Set up and support live events, meetings, and presentations (audio, video, streaming, recording).
Troubleshoot AV equipment issues such as connectivity, signal flow, audio feedback, and device failures.
Maintain and update conference room technology, ensuring consistent up-time and ease of use.
Support digital signage systems and content updates.
Provide Tier 1–2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and common software applications.
Respond to service desk tickets with excellent communication and timely resolution.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (wired and wireless) and escalate when necessary.
Assist with workstation imaging, setup, deployment, and application updates.
Support user accounts, password resets where applicable.
Perform routine maintenance on AV and IT hardware.
Manage inventory of AV and IT equipment, accessories, and cables.
Coordinate vendor support, warranty repairs, and equipment replacements.
Assist with cabling, patching, and equipment installation in network/AV closets.
Document troubleshooting steps, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Train users on AV systems, conference room technology, and best practices.
Working with IT, Facilities, and external partners to support technology needs.
Contribute to AV and IT projects such as system upgrades, installations, and expansions.
Attend all meetings as required.
Complete all required training satisfactorily.
Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Work at other properties as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
