About The Position

At Geek Squad, AutoTech Agents install car electronics in customers’ vehicles. As a Level 2 Autotech Agent, you’ll use experience and advanced technical skills to install complex technology, following established procedures and guidelines for recommendations, troubleshooting and installations based on each client’s vehicle. You’ll also provide technical advice, best practices and support to clients and other employees.

Requirements

• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy safety standards, such as having a minimal number of violations or accidents.
• Best Buy Level 2 Autotech Certification.
• Ability to perform all car electronic-related work.

Nice To Haves

• Previous professional experience with mobile car installations.
• Previous experience coaching, training and providing feedback to others.
• Prior retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Install complex car electronics, including hardwired remote starts, advanced speakers and advanced in-dash units.
• Install standard car electronics, including T-harness remote starts, standard speakers, dash cameras, backup cameras, amplifiers and in-dash units.
• Perform work on vehicles of all makes and models and communicate compatibility issues before installation.
• Use resources and technical acumen to troubleshoot complex automotive solutions.
• Provide technical advice, best practices and support to clients and other employees.
