About The Position

The Autonomous Vehicle Operations Manager (AVOM) leads day-to-day ride-hail fleet operations and reports directly to the General Manager. Working alongside an operational counterpart, the AVOM ensures fleet readiness and execution across round-the-clock operations. The role translates regional strategy and the operating playbook into daily fleet deployment, manages the ground team and depot activities, and applies lean frameworks to keep vehicles safe, available, and performing reliably. The AVOM oversees shift execution, facility operations, safety and regulatory compliance, vendor coordination, team development, and the use of AI-enabled tools and internal software to monitor fleet health and operational performance. Success is measured by vehicle availability and dispatch performance, efficient depot turnaround, and a strong safety and compliance record. This is an active, on-the-floor management role in a depot or garage. Fleet operations run 24/7, so the role requires schedule flexibility and an expectation of working nontraditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. The position requires standing and walking, and remaining on one’s feet for up to 10 hours per day. The role requires operating a motor vehicle for company business, a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving history. Employment is subject to applicable pre-employment screening and the company’s drug-testing policy; this is classified as a safety-sensitive position.
