About The Position

Moove AV is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Operations Manager (AVOM) to lead the tactical, day-to-day execution of ride-hail fleet operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the AVOM manages the ground team and depot activities, coordinates shift handoffs, and applies operational playbooks and continuous-improvement frameworks to keep vehicles safe, available, and ready for service. The role supports the GM’s regional strategy and P&L goals through careful management of labor efficiency, maintenance turnaround, and asset utilization. The AVOM oversees depot infrastructure and vendor coordination, enforces safety and regulatory requirements, and uses AI-driven tools and internal software to monitor fleet health and team performance. Success is measured by fleet uptime and dispatch readiness, efficient depot turnaround, and a strong safety and compliance record. This is an active, on-the-floor role supporting 24/7 operations, with flexibility to work non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. The position requires standing and walking in a depot or garage environment for up to 10 hours a day, operating a motor vehicle for company business, and maintaining a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history. The role is safety-sensitive and subject to the company’s drug-testing policy. Applicants may be subject to a pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check following a conditional offer.

  • Proven experience managing hourly and salaried operational teams, with hands-on leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical operational experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Willingness and ability to work non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays to support operational needs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on one’s feet in a depot or garage environment for up to 10 hours a day.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving history under the company’s insurance standards.
  • Must comply with the company’s drug-testing policy as a condition of employment in a safety-sensitive position.

  • Manage depot infrastructure during the assigned operational window to support high-velocity vehicle turnaround.
  • Enforce safety culture, regulatory compliance, incident reporting, and vehicle health standards before vehicles leave the depot.
  • Coordinate daily interactions with third-party suppliers, maintenance vendors, and outsourcing partners to support SLA compliance and rapid issue resolution.
  • Direct, train, and mentor fleet technicians, operators, and support staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Use AI-driven tools and internal software to monitor fleet health, address operational bottlenecks, and track team output.
  • Report daily operational metrics and shift KPIs to the General Manager.
