This role is responsible for managing all facets of the Used Vehicle Department, from appraisal to acquisition, reconditioning, and sale to the end user. The director must ensure the sales team is knowledgeable about the inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State driver’s license with satisfactory DMV driving record.
• Must meet other company requirements for employment such as background check and drug test.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.

Responsibilities

• Managing all facets of the Used Vehicle Department.
• Appraising vehicles for trade-in and purchase.
• Acquisition of used vehicles.
• Overseeing reconditioning of used vehicles.
• Managing the sale of used vehicles to the end user.
• Ensuring the sales team is knowledgeable about the inventory.
• Explaining vehicle features and warranties to customers.
• Answering guest questions about cars, financing, and the purchase process.
• Negotiating vehicle prices and trade-in values.
• Pricing inventory to sell.
