About The Position

Berlin City Lexus and Toyota is seeking a customer-focused Mobile Service Technician to provide dealership-quality automotive maintenance and light repairs at customers’ homes or workplaces. The technician performs services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake work, and sensor replacements while maintaining the dealership’s quality standards. The role involves communicating findings with customers and the service team, documenting completed work and recommendations, and helping ensure accurate, trustworthy service. The position offers starting pay of $28.00 to $32.00 per hour, a monthly tool allowance, training and mentorship, and opportunities for advancement. Technicians work independently in a mobile environment and participate in manufacturer and dealership training to keep their technical skills current.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of hands-on automotive technician experience; the posting also describes 2+ years of automotive experience as desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively and professionally.
• Ability to perform a physically active role involving standing, bending, lifting 20–50 lbs, and working in various weather conditions.
• Comfort using diagnostic tools and technology.

Responsibilities

• Document all work performed and recommendations on repair orders.
• Perform maintenance and repair work accurately and efficiently.
• Notify the Service Manager when additional work is required or timing changes.
• Conduct road tests to verify diagnostic and repair quality.
• Participate in manufacturer and dealership training to maintain current technical skills.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Berlin City’s core values when interacting with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
• Communicate service findings with customers and the service team.
