About The Position
Mercedes-Benz of McKinney, a Sonic Automotive dealership, is hiring an Automotive Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance work in accordance with dealer and factory standards. The technician may also oversee the work of an assigned apprentice technician. The role offers hourly pay of $25–$50, based on experience.
Requirements
- ASE or manufacturer training.
- At least 2 years of experience as a luxury vehicle technician.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Authorization to work in the USA.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background, motor vehicle record (MVR), and drug screenings, and provide a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Perform repair-order work accurately.
- Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs.
- Inspect vehicles to determine whether additional safety or service work is required.
- Immediately notify the service advisor when additional work is needed.
- Document work performed.
- Road-test vehicles when required.
- Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
- Oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to the role.
