About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of McKinney, a Sonic Automotive dealership, is hiring an experienced commercial or Sprinter Technician for its growing Fixed Operations team. The role offers the opportunity to work with Mercedes-Benz vehicles and technology, pursue factory training and certifications, and develop a career within Sonic Automotive. The Service Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance according to dealer and factory standards and oversees any apprentice technician assigned to them.

Requirements

• ASE certification or manufacturer training.
• At least 2 years of experience as a luxury vehicle technician.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Must pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, an MVR check, and a drug test.

Nice To Haves

• Sprinter, Mercedes-Benz, diesel, or commercial vehicle experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work accurately as outlined on repair orders.
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Inspect vehicles to determine whether additional safety or service work is required.
• Immediately notify the service advisor when additional work is needed.
• Document work performed.
• Road-test vehicles when required.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
• Oversee the work of any assigned apprentice technician.
