AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIANS - LEXUS OF COOL SPRINGS
About The Position
Lexus of Cool Springs and Lexus of Nashville are hiring Automotive Technicians at all skill levels to join their teams. The role involves diagnosing and repairing Lexus vehicles in accordance with dealership and factory standards, completing authorized repairs, and helping deliver the customer experience expected of a luxury brand. Candidates should be committed to craftsmanship, teamwork, and professional service. Applicants must be at least 19 years old, hold a valid driver's license for at least three years, and be able to pass pre-employment checks, including background, motor vehicle record, and drug testing. The position requires prolonged standing, stooping, and bending; walking, sitting, and operating arm or leg controls at a production pace; and exerting 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, 10–25 pounds frequently, or more than 10 pounds constantly.
Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 19 years old.
- Must hold a valid driver's license for at least three years.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background checks, a motor vehicle record check, and a drug test.
- Ability to perform the stated physical demands, including prolonged standing, stooping, and bending; walking, sitting, and operating arm or leg controls at a production pace; and exerting the stated levels of force.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair Lexus vehicles accurately and efficiently according to dealership and factory standards.
- Coordinate with the parts department to help ensure timely parts delivery and notify the team leader when awaiting parts or special orders.
- Accurately diagnose malfunctions and perform authorized repairs.
- Save and tag parts when required for warranty work or requested by the customer.
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly and recommend additional safety or service work when needed.
- Promptly notify Service Consultants when additional work is needed or unnecessary, or when repairs cannot be completed as promised.
- Document work on repair orders with detailed concern, cause, and correction notes.
- Road-test vehicles to verify repair quality.
- Return customer vehicles clean and ready to drive.
- Stay current with factory technical bulletins and regularly attend factory training classes.
- Maintain a clean, organized shop and account for dealership-owned tools.
- Follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous-waste disposal requirements.
- Demonstrate professionalism and embody Lexus's vision, mission, and values in all interactions.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
