AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIANS – VOLKSWAGEN GRAND JUNCTION
About The Position
Volkswagen Grand Junction, a Sonic Automotive dealership, is hiring motivated Automotive Technicians, including experienced technicians and entry-level technicians seeking to develop their skills. The role diagnoses, maintains, and repairs Volkswagen and other customer vehicles, performs routine service and inspections, and troubleshoots a range of mechanical and electrical concerns. Technicians use diagnostic equipment and manufacturer repair procedures, work with service advisors, parts personnel, and other technicians, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The position includes ongoing technical training and opportunities for professional development and advancement within the dealership and Sonic Automotive. Compensation is $18–$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Dependable, team-oriented attitude and commitment to quality.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to meet applicable pre-employment requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Previous automotive repair or maintenance experience is preferred.
- ASE certifications and/or automotive technical school training are a plus.
- Volkswagen or European automotive experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair Volkswagen and other customer vehicles efficiently and accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and factory-recommended services.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, engine, brake, and suspension concerns.
- Use diagnostic equipment and follow manufacturer repair procedures.
- Collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel, and fellow technicians.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development.
- Deliver quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
