About The Position

Horne Kia in Gilbert is hiring Automotive Technicians and Used Car Reconditioning Technicians for our evening reconditioning team. This is an opportunity for technicians tired of fighting for hours, dealing with an inconsistent workload, or giving up their weekends. The night shift runs Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM–1:00 AM, providing a focused environment to turn hours, stay productive, and keep weekends off. The position is open to multiple experience levels, from Lube and General Service Technicians ready to advance to experienced A/B Level and Master Technicians looking for a high-volume operation.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year automotive technician experience required
• Experience with electronic diagnostic equipment
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Team-oriented attitude
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years automotive technician experience preferred
• Dealership experience is a plus, but NOT required
• Independent repair shop technicians are encouraged to apply
• Used car reconditioning experience is a plus
• ASE Certifications preferred but not required
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and prepare used vehicles for retail.
• Perform used vehicle inspections and reconditioning.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns.
• Perform engine and drivability repairs.
• Brake system repairs.
• Steering and suspension repairs.
• Heating and air-conditioning repairs.
• Electrical diagnostics and repairs.
• Preventative maintenance.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and specialized service tools.
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Test-drive vehicles as necessary to verify repairs.
• Communicate repair needs and estimated completion times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
