About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat Automotive Technician / Mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for customers. The role diagnoses and repairs vehicles while delivering an honest, high-quality service experience. The Gilbert location is independently owned and operated by a local franchisee and works Monday through Friday, closing every weekend. Technicians receive a consistent workload, training, live technical support, and opportunities for career growth.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
• Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
• ASE certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve them.
• Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Desire for long-term career development.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Ability to work on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head and in tight spaces.
• Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
• Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
• Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
• Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Use automotive knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair vehicles for guests.
• Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
• Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
• Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Communicate concerns effectively and work closely with the service department.
• Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
• Meet or exceed hourly goals.
