Automotive Technician/ Mechanic
About The Position
Kia Avondale, a Ken Garff Automotive Retailer, is seeking an Automotive Service Technician (Mechanic) who embodies respect, integrity, growth, humility, and teamwork. The role involves performing accurate, efficient vehicle repairs and diagnostics while meeting dealership, state, and factory standards and supporting a high-quality customer experience. The PRO TECH program offers performance and tenure recognition, predictable pay raises, efficiency bonuses, quarterly tool allowances, and discounts. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid in-state driver’s license and a good driving record, per company standards.
- Able to produce precise and accurate work and demonstrate analytical, detailed, skill-based work habits.
Nice To Haves
- Prior automotive technician (mechanic) experience is preferred.
- ASE or dealership manufacturer certifications are highly preferred.
- Technical expertise and an imaginative approach to work.
Responsibilities
- Perform efficient, expert work on repair orders in accordance with dealership, state, and factory standards.
- Diagnose and repair customers’ primary vehicle concerns and perform quality control to meet “Fixed First Visit” expectations.
- Complete a Ken Garff Electronic Multi Point Inspection and video for every vehicle; promptly notify the Service Advisor about additional recommendations or when more repair time is needed.
- Use the Dealer Management System (DMS) for work distribution, electronic inspections, repair quotes, communication, and timekeeping.
- Complete required training as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness in the workspace and in customer vehicles.
