About The Position

Tire Outlet is a complete automotive repair business offering services including tire and oil changes, air conditioning, and tire service. The Automotive Technician diagnoses and repairs customer vehicles effectively and efficiently while adhering to MAP guidelines and dealership, manufacturer, and Tire Outlet Automotive standards. The role includes communicating diagnoses and repair needs to non-mechanical individuals and recommending services that help keep customer vehicles in good working condition.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one unexpired ASE certification or equivalent experience or training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications and experience.
• Perform work outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order efficiently and accurately.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including the Store Manager, Service Consultants, and/or customers.
• Recommend services necessary to keep customer vehicles in working condition and document all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follow safety procedures and report concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintain appropriate ASE certifications and renew expiring certifications.
