About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat automotive technician/mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The position is at a new state-of-the-art facility in Auburn, Alabama, scheduled to open in February 2027; interviews are expected to begin in January 2027. Compensation is $35–$45 per hour, with pay up to $45 per hour for the most skilled technicians. Technicians diagnose and repair domestic and foreign vehicles, perform accurate and honest courtesy inspections, and work with colleagues and the service department to resolve customer concerns and deliver results. The role involves meeting hourly goals and following high standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization. The independently operated local franchise offers ongoing training, career development, technical support, and a consistent workload.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic.
Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
Desire for long-term career development.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Ability to work on vehicles lifted above your head and in tight spaces.
Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair vehicles using automotive knowledge and skills.
Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
Work with the team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively.
Follow and promote standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Communicate customer concerns effectively and work closely with the service department.
