About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat Automotive Technician / Mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The technician diagnoses and repairs vehicles, builds experience across domestic and foreign makes, completes accurate and honest courtesy inspections, and works collaboratively with the service department and other technicians to resolve concerns efficiently and deliver quality results. The role is based at an independently owned and operated Christian Brothers Automotive franchise in Odessa, Texas.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
ASE certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve them.
Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
Desire for long-term career development.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head and in tight spaces as required by repairs.
Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair vehicles using automotive knowledge and skills.
Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Communicate concerns effectively and work closely with the service department.
Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
