About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and repair vehicles while contributing to a positive shop culture and delivering high-quality work. Technicians work on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles, use modern diagnostic equipment, and collaborate with the service department and other technicians to resolve customer concerns. The position is at a clean, modern, climate-controlled shop in Daphne, Alabama. Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• Positive attitude and desire to serve customers.
• Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
• Strong experience with domestic and import vehicles.
• Ability and drive to flag 40–50 or more hours per week.
• Knowledge of vehicle reflashing and reprogramming processes and vehicle systems.
• Demonstrated diagnostic and service expertise in drivability, electrical, powertrain/drivetrain, and other mechanical systems for domestic and import vehicles.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Desire for long-term career development.
• Valid Alabama driver’s license.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
• Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head and in tight spaces dictated by repairs.
• Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
• Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
• Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
• Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• Current ASE certifications; Master and L1 certifications are preferred, or a plan to achieve them.
• Diesel experience.
• Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair customer vehicles using automotive knowledge, experience, and skills.
• Perform accurate automotive testing, diagnosis, and repairs with high-quality workmanship.
• Build experience across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Complete accurate and honest digital courtesy vehicle inspections.
• Work with the team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively.
• Follow and promote standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Communicate customer concerns effectively with the service department.
• Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
