Automotive Technician / Mechanic
About The Position
As an Automotive Technician at Belle Tire, you perform expert automotive repairs to keep customers moving and provide outstanding service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on safety and quality. The position is based in a tire and automotive service retail store and involves a fast-paced workshop setting with varying work hours Monday through Saturday, extended standing, and heavy lifting. Belle Tire has more than 180 locations and 3,000 employees across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. It provides tires, wheels, and full-service automotive repairs. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Have a State of Michigan Mechanic Certification, applicable in Michigan only.
- Have 2 years of automotive repair or mechanic experience.
- Have a customer-first mindset.
- Be able to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- ASE Certifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform automotive repairs on systems including engines, drivetrains and axles, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical systems, heating and air conditioning, and engine performance.
- Ensure all work meets Belle Tire's quality and safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service and exceed customer expectations for quality and service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
