Automotive Technician Instructor
About The Position
Lincoln Tech is seeking skilled automotive technicians to work as part-time or full-time instructors in its Automotive Technology program in Columbia, Maryland. No prior teaching experience is required; the institution supports technicians in transitioning to education. Instructors teach hands-on courses in a fully equipped facility using Lincoln Tech’s accredited curriculum, help students develop professionally, assess and communicate student progress, and prepare students for careers in automotive technology. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, with multiple schedule options available.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Automotive Technician experience.
- Former or current ASE certifications; G1 and A6 are required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Great communication skills.
- Proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities
- Teach Automotive Technology and provide hands-on training in a fully equipped facility.
- Facilitate and effectively deliver Lincoln Tech accredited course curriculum.
- Support and motivate student growth, professionalism, and accountability.
- Evaluate and communicate students’ progress.
- Teach students about safety and compliance.
- Prepare students for successful careers in Automotive Technology.
