Retail - Automotive Technician II
About The Position
Parrish Tire Company is hiring an Automotive Technician I for one of its retail tire centers. This active, hands-on role helps customers travel safely by performing tire and basic automotive services in a busy shop. The technician works with teammates, maintains a clean, organized, and safe shop and grounds, follows Tire Industry Association (TIA) safety procedures, and completes other duties assigned by the store manager. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, and Saturday, 7:30 AM–12:00 PM. Essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- One to two years of experience in the tire or automotive industry.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Own basic tools.
- Dependable work ethic and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to pitch in.
- Clear, courteous communication with customers and coworkers.
- Commitment to safety, honesty, and quality service.
Nice To Haves
- Basic TIA Tire Service Certification.
Responsibilities
- Mount and balance passenger car and light truck tires.
- Perform oil and filter changes using the correct vehicle specifications.
- Properly torque wheels and check tire pressure.
- Reset tire pressure monitoring systems.
- Inspect and repair flat tires.
- Help keep the shop and grounds clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow Tire Industry Association (TIA) safety procedures.
- Support teammates and complete other duties assigned by the store manager.
