About The Position

The Store Manager is a salaried role that provides daily leadership to all store positions, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Guest Care Specialists, and the Assistant Store Manager. Reporting to the District Manager, the Store Manager leads the store and its teammates, including selecting, coaching, and developing team members. The position supports Monro’s vision by promoting products and services and delivering quality automotive service and tires to guests. The Store Manager develops sales and technical teammates, supports sales goals and guest satisfaction, oversees store staffing and operations, manages expenses and inventory, and maintains the store in guest-ready condition. The role also provides direction to technicians and may assist with vehicle services and repairs. The manager ensures compliance with company policies, governmental and safety standards, and completes required Monro University training.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a retail or sales environment.
Proven ability to manage, drive, and deliver financial results while controlling costs.
Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Ability to problem-solve and manage inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
Communication skills to effectively communicate with teammates and guests.
Complete all required Monro training within the provided guidelines and timing.
Current valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Responsibilities

Develop sales and technical teammates to provide a consistent five-star guest experience.
Help develop and implement sales plans, and ensure sales goals are achieved through knowledge of products, services, and the automotive industry.
Introduce tire and service products to guests to maximize sales, satisfaction, and loyalty.
Train and develop teammates in shop operations and guest services to support a productive sales environment.
Provide direction and oversight to technicians and assist with services and repairs when needed.
Manage recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, performance management, and teammate development to ensure effective staffing.
Control expenses, including payroll, telephone usage, store maintenance and repairs, supplies, utilities, and other controllable costs.
Manage inventory, including pulling tires and parts, unloading deliveries, and stocking inventory.
Audit courtesy inspections performed by teammates.
Keep the store clean, well-maintained, and consistently ready for guests in accordance with Monro standards.
Schedule guest appointments and assign teammates according to skill level to complete vehicle services and repairs efficiently and on time.
Achieve sales goals by informing guests about and recommending tire and service products and promotions.
Address guest needs related to sales, service, complaints, and adjustments.
Build guest relationships to maximize satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
Help teammates communicate repair and service needs to guests.
Follow company policies and procedures, governmental standards including environmental codes, and ANSI/OSHA standards; consistently use required safety practices.
Maintain technical knowledge and proficiency by completing required Monro University training courses and modules on time.
Operate, use, and maintain equipment safely according to Monro and manufacturer guidelines, including lifts, welders, and brake lathes.
Perform other duties as assigned and required.
