About The Position

Feyer Auto Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Edenton, NC. In this role, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide variety of vehicles, ensuring that our customers receive top-quality service and exceptional care. This position offers the opportunity to work with the latest automotive technology in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. We are looking for a Service Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and ASE certified. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as an Automotive Service Technician (ASE Certification preferred)
  • Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
  • ASE Certification required
  • B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of vehicles
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle problems accurately
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with service advisors and customers
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Stay up to date on vehicle technology and repair techniques through ongoing training
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.
  • Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
