About The Position

Twin Falls Chevrolet, the Magic Valley's #1 Volume Chevrolet Retailer and Home of the $59.95 Oil Change, is hiring a customer service focused Service Advisor. This role is primarily about taking care of people by being honest, fair, and ensuring the work on their vehicle matters. The ideal candidate will earn customer trust through honesty, organization, and reliability. This position offers a busy service drive with a steady stream of customers, providing real earning opportunities for an advisor who can manage volume effectively without making customers feel like a number.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a dealership service drive.
  • Understanding of service drive operations and healthy hours-per-RO metrics.
  • Ability to identify customer needs for information versus reassurance.
  • Skill in interpreting multi-point inspections and technician feedback to anticipate customer questions.
  • Clear and honest communication, especially when delivering unfavorable news.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage high volume.
  • Integrity and a commitment to not upsell unnecessary repairs.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Chevy or GM service advisor.
  • Experience as an advisor from other brands (Ford, Ram, Toyota, Honda, etc.).
  • Experience as an import or domestic advisor with strong CSI and customer-pay work.
  • Experience as a quick-lube or express-lane lead.
  • Experience as a lane manager or assistant service manager.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers at the service drive, conducting vehicle walk-arounds, and writing accurate repair orders.
  • Reviewing multi-point inspections with technicians and clearly communicating urgent needs, potential risks of deferral, and associated costs to customers.
  • Presenting maintenance recommendations honestly, focusing on genuine needs rather than unnecessary upsells.
  • Selling maintenance services that contribute to vehicle health and customer retention.
  • Coordinating with the parts department and technicians to ensure efficient workflow and keep customers informed.
  • Following up with customers during the day, calling back after service completion, and building relationships.
  • Meeting targets for hours-per-repair order (RO), Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and gross profit without compromising customer treatment.
