About The Position

The Automotive Service Advisor serves as the primary liaison between our clients and the service department. In this vital role, you will manage the customer experience from arrival to vehicle delivery, ensuring that client needs are accurately documented, technical recommendations are clearly communicated, and service delivery meets the rigorous standards of the Ford franchise brand.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as an automotive service advisor or in a comparable high-volume client relations role.
  • Experience operating industry-standard DMS software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Dealertrack) and multi-point inspection programs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to translate complex mechanical concepts into clear, actionable information for clients.
  • Proven ability to manage fast-paced operational workflows, maintain composure under pressure, and effectively resolve client concerns.
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; compliance with standard pre-employment screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience within a franchise dealership network or familiarity with Ford processes is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients professionally, actively listen to their vehicle concerns, and perform comprehensive vehicle walk-arounds to identify maintenance needs.
  • Generate detailed and accurate repair orders utilizing the Dealership Management System (DMS), ensuring technical descriptions are precise for the service technicians.
  • Advise clients on required repairs and Ford factory-scheduled maintenance. Provide transparent cost estimates, explain the value and necessity of repairs, and secure proper authorization.
  • Navigate Ford warranty parameters, service contracts, and safety recalls to ensure full compliance and maximize appropriate coverage for the client.
  • Maintain consistent, proactive updates with clients regarding the status of their vehicles, accommodating adjustments to completion timelines or repair scope as necessary.
  • Review final invoices with clients upon completion of service, clearly explaining the work performed and ensuring an efficient, professional checkout process.
