About The Position

University Kia is seeking an experienced, motivated Automotive Service Advisor (also referred to as a Service Consultant) to join its dealership team. The role involves identifying vehicle problems, gathering warranty and service-coverage information, and preparing repair orders. The advisor schedules customer appointments and alternative transportation, assesses service needs, initiates repairs, and maintains customer satisfaction. The position is suited to a high-energy, self-starting candidate interested in developing their experience with support from a team of mentors.

Responsibilities

• Greet and consult with customers to understand their needs and arrange appropriate service.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for automotive service and repair matters.
• Consult with mechanics about necessary repairs and possible alternatives to costly work.
• Sell additional needed services.
• Set and manage service-delivery expectations for customers and mechanics.
• Keep customers updated on repair needs and completion times.
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed and the repair order.
• Schedule customer appointments and arrange alternative transportation, such as loan vehicles or shuttle rides.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
