About The Position

DARCARS of Fairfax is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer. The role is responsible for presenting, consulting on, and selling automotive warranty products and repair services in a professional manner while following the manufacturer’s published maintenance schedule and requirements and company policy. The Service Advisor builds rapport with customers to promote satisfaction and retention. The position requires managing work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision, and may include other duties assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Great customer service, phone, and computer skills.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background screening.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced work environment with limited supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Previous automotive Service Advisor experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and courteously and obtain relevant vehicle information.
• Advise customers on vehicle care and the value of maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Prepare and provide complete, accurate repair-order estimates.
• Establish and communicate repair completion times to customers and technicians.
• Answer incoming service calls.
• Maintain and schedule service appointments.
• Conduct customer follow-up according to prescribed procedures to encourage return visits, increase sales, and support excellent CSI.
• Follow manufacturer warranty guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct business with integrity to maintain the manufacturer Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and DARCARS goals.
• Comply with federal, state, and local laws and company policies for safeguarding customer, company, and manufacturer information, as well as customer vehicles and property.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by a supervisor.
