Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Automotive Sales Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will engage customers to understand their vehicle needs, explain vehicle features, and guide them through the sales process. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Proven experience in automotive or related sales.
  • Ability to read and interpret business materials, technical procedures, and regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to handle diverse sales situations.
  • Capability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assess their vehicle preferences and requirements.
  • Demonstrate vehicle features and operation in the showroom and during test drives.
  • Recommend optional equipment and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage vehicle availability and inventory options.
  • Work with Sales Managers to determine pricing, including taxes, trade-in values, licensing, discounts, and financing.
  • Prepare and process all sales documentation, including credit applications and contracts.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and ensure they understand operation, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Maintain a system for prospect development to cultivate potential customers.
  • Stay current on new products, features, and accessories through ongoing training and meetings.
  • Comply with company policies while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
