About The Position

Long-Lewis of Decatur is seeking a detail-oriented, quality-driven Automotive Reconditioning Technician to prepare pre-owned vehicles for resale. The role includes inspections, reconditioning and detailing, documentation, and coordination with dealership teams to support timely inventory turnaround. Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, cosmetic, and safety-related repairs.
• Perform reconditioning tasks, including light mechanical work, minor repairs, and general maintenance as needed.
• Clean and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors to dealership standards and prepare vehicles for the lot.
• Document work performed and properly handle repair and maintenance logs.
• Coordinate with service advisors, sales staff, and management to support timely inventory turnaround.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while adhering to company and safety policies.
• Communicate progress, delays, and concerns to team members.
