About The Position
Audi Des Moines is hiring a Porter to support dealership and service department operations in Des Moines, Iowa. The role involves greeting service customers, assisting with vehicle check-in and preparation, coordinating with Service Advisors, and safely moving customer vehicles around dealership and service areas. The Porter also helps maintain organized, clean service and parking areas and supports vehicle deliveries, customer transportation, phone calls, administrative tasks, and other service team needs. The position reports to the Service Manager and requires open availability for a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver's license and driving record that meets dealership requirements are required, as is at least one year of computer experience. The role emphasizes workplace safety and positive customer service. Responsibilities
- Greet service customers and provide professional customer service throughout their dealership visit.
- Assist with vehicle check-in, prepare vehicles for service, and coordinate with Service Advisors.
- Safely transport, park, and retrieve customer vehicles within the dealership and service areas.
- Maintain an organized service lane, parking lot, and clean work environment.
- Support daily service department operations, including vehicle deliveries and customer transportation.
- Assist with incoming phone calls, administrative tasks, and other service team responsibilities.
- Follow dealership safety procedures and report vehicle or workplace concerns.
