About The Position

The Automotive Porter supports dealership service and sales operations by assisting customers, moving and maintaining vehicles, and keeping dealership spaces clean. This is an onsite, hourly position reporting to the Service Manager. The role requires open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support dealership operations and customer demand. Compensation is $17 per hour, with eligibility for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation. Actual pay may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, including vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
• Team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
• Open availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers dropping off vehicles for repairs.
• Move and work with vehicles to maintain displays and support sales activities.
• Deliver vehicles and assist the shuttle driver.
• Thoroughly clean and maintain vehicles.
• Monitor vehicle tire pressure and add air and fuel as needed.
• Recognize general vehicle repairs and building maintenance needs and notify management.
• Maintain the internal and external appearance and cleanliness of the store, showroom, and lot.
• Run miscellaneous errands for the store.
