Automotive Porter Valet & Cleaning
About The Position
Sunset Ford is seeking a motivated and energetic part-time afternoon Porter Valet and Cleaner to support its service operations and customer experience. The role involves valet assistance, moving and parking vehicles, cleaning rental vehicles and dealership areas, maintaining supplies, and shuttling guests as needed. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, starting at 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. and ending at 6 p.m., for 20–25 hours per week. Sunset Ford is a family-owned dealership serving St. Louis, South County, and surrounding areas. The company says it has operated for over 114 years and has consistently received Ford Motor Company's President's Award for customer service excellence. Applicants must be willing to complete a pre-employment background check and drug test and must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Requirements
- Current and valid driver's license.
- Satisfactory driving record.
- Some understanding of proper cleaning practices.
- Personable manner and enjoyment of talking with customers.
- Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Ability to meet the physical demands representative of the essential functions of the job.
Responsibilities
- Assist guests with valet services by bringing vehicles to the service drive for re-delivery.
- Drive vehicles to and from the service lane, vendors, and parking lot as needed.
- Clean rental vehicles by wiping them down and vacuuming them.
- Sweep the garage drive lane and sidewalks and remove snow and debris as necessary in winter.
- Direct customers to pull into the service drive.
- Park customer vehicles after staff check them in.
- Assist with cleaning the building, removing trash, and cleaning windows.
- Move vehicles between dealerships.
- Shuttle guests home or to work as needed.
- Vacuum rugs, dust computers, and wipe countertops and the coffee machine.
- Stock coffee supplies and other products needed by the service department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
