About The Position

Herb Chambers Toyota of Medford is seeking an accomplished Automotive Parts Manager to lead a significant growth opportunity in New England automotive retail. The dealership has moved into a new, state-of-the-art facility with a 37-bay service operation and substantial vehicle capacity. This role is for a hands-on operator and leader who understands the critical role of an exceptional parts department in driving the entire dealership. The Parts Manager will have the opportunity to build a parts operation to support the high-volume service department, optimize inventory for availability, turns, fill rate, and profitability, grow various sales channels, improve technician productivity, recruit and develop a high-performing parts team, partner with Service, Sales, and Used Vehicles departments, utilize data for decision-making, and establish scalable processes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Build a parts operation capable of supporting a high-volume, 37-bay service department
  • Optimize inventory for availability, turns, fill rate and profitability
  • Grow wholesale, retail, internal and service-drive parts sales
  • Improve technician productivity by getting the right part to the right technician at the right time
  • Recruit, develop and hold accountable a high-performing parts team
  • Partner closely with Service, Sales and Used Vehicles
  • Use data—not instinct alone—to identify opportunities and make decisions
  • Establish processes and standards that can scale as our business grows
