About The Position

Responsibilities

Read catalogs and computer vehicle diagrams to identify replacement-part stock numbers and prices.
Determine required replacement parts based on inspection of old parts, customer requests, or descriptions of malfunctions.
Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
Fill customer orders from stock.
Receive payments or obtain credit authorization.
Take inventory of stock.
Advise customers about substitute or modified parts when identical replacements are unavailable.
Examine returned parts for defects and exchange defective parts or issue refunds.
Mark and store parts in stock rooms according to prearranged systems.
Discuss the use and features of parts based on knowledge of machines or equipment.
Demonstrate equipment and explain how it functions to customers.
Place new merchandise on display.
Work with customers, vendors, and dealer personnel to maintain department efficiency.
Maintain a friendly, courteous demeanor with colleagues and customers.
