About The Position

Flow Nissan of Statesville is seeking a Parts Associate to support its parts department. The role involves identifying, ordering, receiving, stocking, and selling automotive parts; assisting customers and dealer personnel; and helping maintain an efficient department. The associate should provide friendly, courteous service to colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

• Read catalogs and computer vehicle diagrams to identify replacement-part stock numbers and prices.
• Determine required replacement parts using inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customer descriptions of malfunctions.
• Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
• Fill customer orders from stock.
• Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
• Take inventory of stock.
• Advise customers about substituting or modifying parts when identical replacements are unavailable.
• Examine returned parts for defects and exchange defective parts or refund money.
• Mark and store parts in stock rooms according to prearranged systems.
• Discuss the use and features of parts based on knowledge of machines or equipment.
• Demonstrate equipment to customers and explain how it functions.
• Place new merchandise on display.
• Work with customers, vendors, and dealer personnel to maintain department efficiency.
• Maintain a friendly, courteous demeanor with colleagues and customers.
