About The Position

DARCARS of Rockville is hiring an entry-level Automotive Lube Technician to perform basic vehicle maintenance. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to handle repetitive tasks efficiently. The employee may also be asked by a supervisor to perform other duties and responsibilities beyond those listed. Employment is at-will and offers are contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check and review of consumer and motor vehicle records and SSN verification.

Requirements

• Have excellent prior work or school attendance.
• Have a positive attitude and be a team player.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Have basic tools.
• Pass pre-employment screening, including a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive technical school certifications are preferred but not required.
• Previous experience is preferred.
• Apprenticeship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, tire balancing, and battery testing.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
• Accurately use the multi-point inspection form for each vehicle.
• Use product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management.
• Ensure customer vehicles are returned in the same or better condition than when received.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training, programs, and schools.
• Continuously expand knowledge of new technologies and practices.
• Follow other instructions and perform other duties as requested by a supervisor.
