About The Position

DARCARS of Frederick is hiring an entry-level Automotive Lube Technician to perform basic vehicle maintenance. The role requires strong teamwork skills and the ability to handle repetitive tasks efficiently and with attention to detail. The technician performs routine maintenance and inspections, uses a multi-point inspection form, and helps ensure customer vehicles are returned in the same or better condition than when received. The employee will also complete training and perform other duties as requested by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Have excellent prior work or school attendance.
• Have a positive attitude and be a team player.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Have basic tools.
• Pass pre-employment background screening.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive technical school certifications are preferred but not required.
• Previous experience is preferred.
• Apprenticeship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, tire balancing, and battery testing.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
• Accurately complete the multi-point inspection form for each vehicle.
• Use product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management.
• Ensure customer vehicles are returned in the same or better condition than when brought in.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training, programs, and schools.
• Continuously expand knowledge of new technologies and practices.
• Follow other instructions and perform other duties and responsibilities requested by a supervisor.
