Automotive Interior Repair and Touch Up Technician
About The Position
Xcite Automotive is seeking an experienced Automotive Interior Repair and Touch Up Technician to support partner dealers in San Antonio, Texas. This role performs automotive interior cosmetic repairs to dealership and OEM standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with interior materials, strong color-matching ability, and can work independently in a mobile, multi-store environment while delivering consistent, high-quality results. The technician performs repairs to vinyl, leather, plastic, trim, seats, door panels, dashboards, and consoles; restores cosmetic damage such as cigarette burns, scuffs, scratches, cracks, and minor tears; and uses interior dyes, repair compounds, fillers, and refinishing systems. The role also includes quality inspections, maintaining mobile tools and materials, traveling between assigned dealership locations, and communicating repair status with management. Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive interior repair or interior reconditioning.
- Strong skills in color matching and cosmetic refinishing.
- Experience repairing vinyl, leather, and plastic materials.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workload.
- High attention to detail and finish quality.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of interior repair, reconditioning, or detailing experience.
- Dealership, body shop, auction, or mobile reconditioning background.
- Familiarity with OEM interior materials and textures.
- Experience in a high-volume dealership or auction environment.
- Automotive interior reconditioning experience, including vinyl, leather, and plastic repair, color matching, and cosmetic restoration.
- Mobile interior repair or cosmetic repair experience supporting dealership environments.
- Dealership recon or high-volume detail department experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform automotive interior touch-up and cosmetic repairs.
- Execute precise interior color matching and blending.
- Repair vinyl, leather, plastic, trim, seats, door panels, dashboards, and consoles.
- Restore cigarette burns, scuffs, scratches, cracks, and minor tears.
- Use interior dyes, repair compounds, fillers, and refinishing systems.
- Inspect repairs to ensure quality and minimize rework.
- Maintain mobile tools, materials, and a professional setup.
- Travel between assigned dealership locations.
- Communicate repair status with management.
