About The Position

Bud Clary Auto Group is hiring an Automotive Express Technician for its Moses Lake location. The technician performs repair-order work efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards, including lubrication, safety inspections, and related services. The role also involves maintaining customer and repair records, communicating with the parts department and service advisor, keeping vehicles and the shop clean, and following safety and regulatory requirements. Pay is $18–$20 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Perform lubrication, safety inspections, and related services.
• Maintain records on regular customers and document all work performed on repair orders.
• Drain and refill engine oil and replace oil and air filters.
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish fluids as needed.
• Check tire pressure and add air when needed.
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to a supervisor.
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by the service manager.
• Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Keep customers’ vehicles clean and immediately notify the service advisor of any change in a vehicle’s appearance or condition.
• Keep the shop area neat and clean.
• Maintain and account for dealership-owned tools and manuals, returning them to their proper place and condition.
• Understand and comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous-waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know requirements.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and immediately report safety issues to management.
