About The Position

The Automotive Equipment Installer performs equipment installations for JF Petroleum Group shop-equipment projects and is responsible for completing work accurately, reviewing work, and coordinating schedules. The role covers planning, prioritization, and quality of installations, while coordinating with Automotive Services Management to complete projects on time and within budget. The installer helps ensure timely project invoicing by providing required information, coordinates parts and resource availability, and communicates with internal departments and customers.

The position requires interpreting blueprints, plans, sketches, and product specifications to determine installation sequences and methods. The installer supports customer satisfaction, adheres to company quality and safety standards, helps maintain order and equipment availability in the Automotive warehouse area, and provides required documentation. The role also includes monitoring project schedules and resource needs with the Automotive Services Manager, and inspecting tools and equipment for safety. This is an equipment installation position; the company states it is not seeking ASE mechanics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Willingness to travel once every month.
• Must meet company employment requirements, including passing a drug screen and criminal background check, and an MVR check if driving for the company.
• Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Frequent bending and stooping, and ability to stand 8–10 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Automotive Services Management to complete automotive equipment installations on time and within budget.
• Provide information needed to maintain project timelines and enable timely invoicing.
• Understand, comply with, and enforce JF safety policies and OSHA safety requirements.
• Help educate job-site personnel about company policies and procedures and support their enforcement.
• Maintain communication and positive working relationships with other JF departments regarding installations and resource needs.
• Determine availability of parts and resources required to complete jobs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, sketches, and product specifications to determine the sequence and methods of assembly and installation.
• Communicate effectively with JF departments and customers seeking installation services.
• Adhere to quality and safety standards.
• Identify project design and construction elements likely to affect installation work.
• Manage job duties to support customer satisfaction and provide timely responses.
• Help monitor and maintain order in the Automotive area of the JF Warehouse.
• Monitor automotive equipment and materials availability for regular installation projects.
• Work with the Automotive Services Manager to develop schedules and determine resource requirements for efficient production.
• Provide documentation required by company policies and procedures, such as vehicle maintenance sheets, absence request forms, and petty cash reimbursements.
• Perform regular safety inspections of tools and equipment.
• Install shop equipment, including reels, tanks, pumps, compressor systems, preventive maintenance equipment, car and vehicle lifts, and wheel-service equipment.
