About The Position

An Equipment Installer I is responsible for quality installation of equipment in data center and construction environments, following engineering instructions and drawings and customer standards. This is a field-based position involving regional and occasional national travel. The successful candidate is expected to embrace Vertiv’s Core Principles and Behaviors to help execute its Strategic Priorities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal, written, and customer-facing skills.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge and skills with hand tools.
• Ability to pass background, drug, and motor vehicle screening.
• Ability to meet the stated physical and environmental demands of the role.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 30 certification.
• Fall protection training.
• Manlift or forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment in data center and construction environments.
• Analyze job drawings, specifications, and MOPs on site.
• Ensure quality installations by conforming to all applicable standards.
• Perform work with safety as the top priority, following company and customer procedures and using the proper PPE.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service.
• Use a computer for data-entry and administrative tasks.
