About The Position

An Equipment Installer I is responsible for quality installation of equipment in data center and construction environments, following engineering instructions and drawings and customer standards. This is a field-based position requiring regional and occasional national travel, with travel time listed as 80%. The successful candidate is expected to follow Vertiv’s principles and behaviors, including prioritizing safety, integrity, respect, teamwork, inclusion, customer focus, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal, written, and customer-facing skills.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of and skills with hand tools.
• OSHA 10 certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 30 certification.
• Fall protection training or certification.
• Manlift certification.
• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment in data center and construction environments.
• Analyze job drawings, specifications, and MOPs on site.
• Ensure quality installations by following applicable standards.
• Prioritize safety, follow company and customer procedures, and use task-appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service.
• Use a computer for data entry and administrative tasks.
• Pass background, drug, and motor vehicle screening.
