About The Position
Fenix Parts is hiring an Automotive Dismantler to dismantle vehicles and safely and efficiently extract valuable parts, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrain components. The role helps ensure removed parts are functional and meet quality standards for customers and partners. The position also involves testing components, managing vehicle fluids responsibly, and maintaining an orderly workspace and documentation. Fenix Parts operates in automotive recycling and resale of OEM parts and describes its work as supporting sustainability by reducing the environmental impact of automotive waste.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on automotive mechanic experience, including removing engines, transmissions, and drivetrain components.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of automotive parts and their functions.
- Own and maintain essential mechanical tools.
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.

Responsibilities
- Safely remove drivetrain components, including engines, transmissions, differentials, driveshafts, axles, and other parts.
- Tag and label parts accurately and ensure components meet quality standards.
- Test engines and electrical components.
- Drain and store fluids properly.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Complete necessary documentation.
